Explore the art of pictorial storytelling and create your very own comic book set in a fantastical African jungle. Develop original stories inspired by fantasy, fairy tales, superheroes and villains while learning drawing techniques, composition, perspective, panel sequencing, lettering, grids and speech bubbles with or without words. Perfect for young artists wanting to build their skills or simply have fun bringing their imagination to life.
Led by Marguerite, a National Art School student, this class takes a fine art approach to developing confidence, creativity and self-expression. Students will strengthen their drawing skills and visual understanding while exploring composition, shape, line, texture, tone, colour, perspective, proportions and mark-making to create their own unique comic artworks.
