About this event

Australia In collaboration with Apple, Sydney Opera House presents Plasmotopia , a creative drawing workshop by New York-based Australian artists Tin & Ed. People have long drawn on cave walls, shells, stones and everyday objects to understand the world and share stories. Plasmotopia reimagines this enduring practice for iPad and Apple Pencil. Choose from a collection of three-dimensional forms inspired by corals and other organisms from the Great Barrier Reef. Each one becomes a canvas for your imagination. Guided by facts and creative prompts, use special brushes to bring your underwater world to life. Paint with glowing bioluminescence, drifting algae or animated coral polyps. Then watch your creation appear in augmented reality, growing from the walls and floors of the Sydney Opera House. As more organisms appear, a colourful reef begins to form. Plasmotopia invites us to look closely, create with curiosity and feel more connected to one of the planet’s most important ecosystems. Presented by Sydney Opera House and Apple
