About this event

Martin Place Christmas Markets are back for 2026, and this year they are trading right up to Christmas Eve.

Set beneath the City of Sydney's giant Christmas tree in the heart of the CBD, the markets open on Saturday 28 November and run Wednesdays to Saturdays, 11am to 9:15pm, before trading daily through the final week before Christmas.

With 55 stalls, it's the place to find the hard-to-find: unique gifts, handmade pieces and one-off treasures you won't get in the city shops, alongside gourmet food and festive treats.

Every Saturday brings free workshops, including Christmas wreath making, a cooking with leftovers for Christmas class, a kids' sewing workshop with Slogue, and Christmas card decorating with The Social Outfit.

From the second Saturday, Sustainable Saturdays sees all hot food served in reusable containers supplied by Cercle, cutting single-use waste across the precinct.

Add live music, a visit from Santa and carols filling Martin Place, and it's a full day and night of festive cheer in the middle of the city.

Entry is free.
