Join hundreds of young people and families on Saturday, 24 October 2026 for LIFTED Live in the Forecourt — a decade-long celebration of faith, creativity, and diversity!
Coinciding with Parramatta Lanes, we invite everyone to hop across Prince Alfred Park to the illuminated St Patrick’s Cathedral Forecourt for an exciting night of music, local small businesses, entertainment and showcasing the talent and passion of young people in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
This event is particularly for young people (16-35) though everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us!
What to expect at LIFTED Live:
Celebrating its 11th year, LIFTED Live coincides with the Feast of St Pope John Paul II (22 October), commemorating the founding of the Diocese of Parramatta. World Youth Day was initiated by St John Paul II in 1985, and he visited the newly created Diocese shortly after, in 1986. In 2015, a statue of St John Paul II was unveiled at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta, as a lasting tribute to the founder of our Diocese. Reflecting his enduring message to young people, St John Paul II said ahead of the 12th World Youth Day in 1997: “Dear young people, like the first disciples, follow Jesus! Do not be afraid to draw near to him, to cross the threshold of his dwelling, to speak with him face to face, as you talk with a friend. Do not be afraid of the ‘new life’ he is offering. He himself makes it possible for you to receive that life and practise it, with the help of his grace and the gift of his Spirit.” The evening showcases the Diocese’s active youth ministries, highlighting the creativity, energy, and faith of young people across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. The event is FREE! Bring your family and friends!
