About this event
Event Description
The Sydney Kings are playing three home games at Afterpay Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, these school holidays, with kids going free for an easy family day out, whatever the weather.
The games
• Sunday 27 September, 6pm: Sydney Kings vs Illawarra Hawks, the league’s oldest rivalry
• Wednesday 30 September, 7.30pm: Sydney Kings vs Brisbane Bullets, a midweek Ignite Cup and junior association round
• Sunday 11 October, 3pm: Sydney Kings vs Adelaide 36ers, a Grand Final rematch and the last big game before school goes back
Kids Go Free
One junior ticket can be added free with each adult ticket in the Copper, Bronze and Silver seating categories. Children aged four and over need a ticket, while under-fours can sit on a parent’s lap at no cost. Terms and conditions apply.
Making a day of it
The arena is fully indoors and climate-controlled, making it a reliable rain-or-shine outing. Beyond the basketball, expect music, mascots, on-court competitions between quarters and foyer activities before tip-off. Games run for around two hours, and arriving 60 to 90 minutes early is recommended for the full experience.
Basketball camps
Hoops Capital Academy is running school holiday basketball camps for boys and girls of all skill levels, alongside a Sydney Flames Experience on Friday 9 October.
